What a busy and successful month of events we’ve had at the club. October kept us busy with the Wild Sailing Regatta, Lounge Night, Oktoberfest, New Member reception, Corinthian Cup, Avalon Cruise, Scotch and Cigar Night, and Pumpkin Carving. Did I say we were busy?

Thanks to all our volunteers and BCYC staff who make the many social events, races, Junior Program and cruises such fun! We will be honoring many of these volunteers at the annual Awards Banquet Nov. 16. Make plans to be there and let these members know how much they are appreciated.

November starts with longer mornings and earlier afternoons. Along with the time change, I notice the weather starting to cool, bringing anticipation of the holidays that will soon be here. The club calendar for 2020 is in the works and it is a great time for joining a committee or offering new ideas to the 2020 committee chairs. Please let our soon-to-be new Commodore Ginny Lombardi know how you would like to get involved.

See you at the club or on the water!

Commodore, Steve Moffett
