The Activities Committee hopes that everyone had a great Thanksgiving with your family. December is a month filled with family gatherings and I wish all a happy and safe Christmas and Hanukkah.

I would like to thank our awesome BCYC members for volunteering to help create the Coastal Holiday Wonderland. On your next visit to the club, I encourage you to take pictures of these amazing decorations to savor the spirit of the holiday. Santa’s brunch will take place Sunday, Dec. 12. Please make reservations through the club office and bring your entire family to this Christmas event. Of course, Santa will be present – take pictures with the jolly guy and remember, Santa loves to listen to the kids’ holiday wishes!

BCYC will celebrate the 113th Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade, Dec. 15-19. There is space available to enjoy the buffet dinner only on Sunday, Dec. 19. A wait list has been created for the other nights.

New Year’s Eve will be BCYC’s last celebration of 2021. This year, we will celebrate with a Havana Night theme. A Cuban band will provide musical entertainment to help us ring in 2022. Find out if “luck be a lady” for you in poker, roulette and blackjack, and get those feet (and hips) moving with the help of a Salsa instructor, who will teach you new dance moves. Please call the club by Wednesday, Dec. 22, to make your reservations.

I would personally like to thank BCYC’s staff and members for making 2021 a memorable year. I look forward to 2022!
