The calendar pages keep turning. Although I feel like I don’t get much done, when I look back at the months with the days filled in with activities, I realize, “no it just doesn’t feel like I’m busy, because all I am doing is having fun!”

I think photos show best what we have been up to at the club. So here is a collage for you to enjoy. Our summer events, if you missed them, were the progressive luncheon in June featuring the Bacon, Sopkin and Stransky homes. The food was delicious and the camaraderie fantastic. That luncheon is my personal favorite, because it is members only and I get to spend a bit of quality time with the ladies. In August, we headed to the Festival of Arts in Laguna to enjoy the Pageant of the Masters. To sit under the open air and watch art come alive is a pretty special evening; if you have never been, I highly recommend it.

As we rush into fall, you may wish to put the following Las Commodoras events on your calendar:

  • Sept 15: “Chopped” Cooking Luncheon. We will be auditioning contestants soon – watch your email for details
  • October 13: Oktoberfest, an evening event; on my birthday, so it will be great if you all could come celebrate with me!
  • Nov 1: Toy Drive Kick Off. Our usual kick-off date and Prime Rib night
  • Nov 15: Wellness Luncheon. Come relax as Julie Bitetto walks us through some easy stretches followed by a nutritious lunch
  • Dec 6: Holiday Luncheon. Come make your holiday centerpiece as we are guided by a professional floral artist, as well as silent auction and raffle

If you’d like to see more photos, our events are posted on the Club’s Flickr account on the website for all to enjoy! See you all soon!
