Awards Banquet 2018 will be held on Saturday, Nov. 10. This is an opportunity to honor the many BCYC volunteers, outstanding racers, cruisers and juniors. Lynn Hanger and her Trophy Committee team will have the magnificent perpetual trophies sparkling, and the Vannas will be doing their magic (gotta be there to see them in action). Make plans to attend and show your appreciation of the accomplishments and results of each honoree.
The September Club Championship was quite a display of sailing prowess. Great fun was had by all – the Family and Championship Division winner was Phil Thompson!
Supporting high achievement on the water, The Gala was again an amazing success. Due to careful planning and the dedication of the committee headed by Ramsey Johansson, Kari Konapelsky and Lauri Moffett, and their team of volunteers, the results of this event will have a tremendous impact on all BCYC sailing programs. Thank you to all volunteers, members and guests who made The Gala a winner.
We will welcome new BCYC members who have joined April 1 to Oct. 1 during the New Member Cocktail Party Oct. 5, 5-7 p.m. This is an excellent opportunity to meet new members of the BCYC family. Be there!
With the holiday season fast approaching, the holiday decorating team will be looking for many elves to help make the club sparkle Nov. 17-18. BCYC has won the “Ring of Lights” award three of the last four years – an hour of your time will make the task of transforming the club for the holiday season a quick, easy process.
