It is time to set sail (or power up) for 2022 BCYC cruising! We want to thank Vice Commodore Rolf and Ronda Rolnicki for years of commitment to the Cruise Committee and many great memories on the water and land. In 2022, they pass the leadership torch to this year’s new co-chairs; Director Jeff and Julie Granbery, and Scott Vernier.

We are excited to kick off 2022 and look forward to sharing the exciting lineup of awesome cruises! We wrapped up 2021 with some adventurous winter cruising with new and seasoned BCYC cruisers. Director Granbery celebrated a milestone birthday in November and was fortunate to celebrate with fellow BCYC pirates…I mean cruisers. Check out the photos from the west end and see if you can find the BCYC boats. Here is a shoutout to Ian Hardy and Nesrine Cherkaoui for their new boat’s maiden voyage and mooring in Catalina!

The BCYC-favorite Desert Land Cruise is March 4-6. Sign up now by calling the club office or registering on the land cruise webpage (under the cruise button on the club website homepage)! You can also grab a room at the Omni Rancho Las Palmas, before they sell out, on this same webpage — special BCYC pricing is only valid through Feb. 11, 2022. This is the best time of year in the desert and there are a lot of great activities planned. Enjoy a VIP BCYC poolside cabana, dinner at Chaparral Country Club, happy hour, great meals, golf, polo and general good times with friends! Thanks to the Rolnickis for organizing.

Lastly, your Cruise Committee is busy planning awesome events for 2022. Look for some local fun with a Newport raft-up and Desert Land Cruise, and cruises to Long Beach, Emerald Bay, Avalon and more! We welcome any volunteers or ideas to help make our BCYC cruises the best. Reach out to Julie, Jeff or Scott with ideas.
